What an interesting sleeve.

I am looking at an entry from Andrew Sullivan's blog, that is headed by the hand of President Obama upon the Lincoln bible. His wife Michelle is also holding it, and I can see her green gloves, and the sleeve of her jacket.

It is the jacket that has caught my eye, because I think it is cutwork embroidery! Oh wow.

Looks like lace to me rather then cutwork - it's the chunky/rounded pieces of the design that make me think lace rather then cutwork - although I'm sure the effect can be aquired either way ;-)

It looks like a lace layer to me. The sleeve looked awesome.. the whole outfit though? Not so flattering. =/

I think she'd have looked much better in something that showed instead of hid her shape.

That may be true about it hiding her body, but in that cold, I would be bundled in a parka myself, so I can forgive her.
