Anyone have or read the book "Cambridge History of Western Textiles"? If you have, what do you think of the book? Is it worth getting? Any interesting tidbits in it? Please share your thoughts.

I can't believe nobody's responded to this. I'd like to know too. I suspect that you're caught in The Pennsic Madness Void. If you don't get any responses, ask again after Pennsic.

It's the standard textile reference book, but as such is fairly general in scope. IIRC it's spendy. I suggest you ILL it first to judge for yourself. Myself, I think there are better books to help in our period - ones that detail types of weave and collections of extant fabrics for one.
