I prefer the thin gold cord on top and bottom.

I like a couple of the options, but I really like having the thick gold cord on both the top and bottem. I think that would look very finished and elegant.

I like 5 the most, I think... =/ Something about those two together just seems right to me. #8 came in a close second though. I think it has to do with they add visual depth, but don't compete. KWIM?

Uh, maybe. Never heard that one before. I simply remember the artistic style of the time is Baroque, at least according to my Art History teacher.
