Bad eBay seller warning.

Just a warning to all eBay shoppers of books and movies. Do not buy from the seller "bookmarz" or their affiliate "bookmarzII". I ordered from them on the 23 of June. They apparantly were out of one of the three books I ordered, but they never bothered to notify me about the lack of book. They also didn't give me a proper tracking number either. ( Read more... )

Hm - I bought from them about a month, month and a half ago (PoF). It was delivered promptly, no problems.

I hope that you get your money back. Out of curiosity, which book did you order?

I doubly recommend Poison Pen. Devra seems like good folks.

Medieval Tailor's Assistant, Flemish Illuminated Manuscripts 1400-1550 and The Art and Craft of Natural Dyeing.

I don't know which one of the three was not in stock, but all three are still showing listings on eBay.

What bothers me is that no one bothered to contact me once they realized they didn't have the book to pack. And their info says not to contact them at all until a minimum of 10 days after payment clears, and to give them a few extra days if doing multiple orders.

They may be good if they have the book already in stock, but upon reading their more recent negative and neutral listings, they have a problem they really need to address. From the letter I received, I think they know it is in their inventory tracking system, but I am unwilling to wait for their problem to get cleared up.

Yeah, I can understand. They need to fix it on THEIR dime.

And btw, I know that Devra has in MTA, as of a couple of months ago she'd received her order. I need to get a copy before she goes off to Pennsic, actually. It's not my period, but it's still solid.
