I found the book I need for Henry VIII's sumptuary laws!
Tudor Royal Proclamations, vol 1 (1485-1553)Unfortunately, I can't access the Fresno County Library system to see if I can ILL the darn book. Do you recall or have written down the book title you were going to research in SF? The one that would be on microfiche? I was wondering if it was the same book.

Not the same book; what I was going to look up was:

From my readings of the Tudor proclamations, it appears to point towards the Statutes of the Realm as the source for what we are looking for. Anything having to do with garments or wool kept referring to it, and otherwise gave very little real info.
