Over the past weeks, many Singaporeans have been complaining of the haze and how their health has been affected. Are you able to get the figure for Lanzhou? I was told before that they have one of most polluted air in China because of its geographical topolgy (correct term?)

Lanzhou (兰州) had a AQI of 91 yesterday, which was better than Shanghai and Suzhou! :P

It is interesting that if you compare Shanghai and Singapore for AQI for September and October, the results are comparable. Both had three days where AQI was above 100. While Singapore had 22 days with AQI was 50 and below, it was 21 days for Shanghai.

Perhaps that is how statistics can be bent, since September and October can be seen as average months for Shanghai, whereas it is about the worst for Singapore.
