Posting Mod for iuls: This reads as though you had loads of fun answering the prompt; I'm glad you chose it-and you know how to make lemonade! *smooches*

It is horrible if I say I had a petrifying time with this, this is I believe version 4 or 5.
My husband who loves and understands me thru my many vagaries was the beta, as in he read it, told me it was good, and to send it in and not back out because I was mad if I didn't like it.
I am relieved that you like it, as long as you do, I am happy.

I don't think I have one story written that I can't find something to change upon rereading, so I understand. I'm sorry you were more bothered than pleased by your process; the point of the fest is to inspire you to enjoy it and the work you create. It's not a gift fest precisely so that you can allow your imagination to run wild rather than crafting something to order. Perhaps next time you'll have more fun (and I certainly hope that you'll stop worrying about this lovely fic). *hugs*

Oh I found stuff, lol.
But it was more my muse fought me, or rather I didn't listen to my muse, she's very opinionated. So I started and restarted again and again, until I just gave her a week and free rein, and she enjoyed herself.
Then my beta dropped me at the last min, and really my dh is probably not the person who you want reading and telling you if something is "right".
But yeah I'm almost always sure that it won't be good enough, and that will probably never change, I'm just learning to breathe and release.

Interesting. It's been a while since I really appreciated a marriage law fic. We may be coming due for another round of that cycle if this is any indication. This story was very good. One expects a comedy at the outset, but one rapidly realizes that there is nothing particularly funny about the situation.

I like the voices of all the characters, and you had the taste not to dwell on the heavy hand of the Ministry which would enact such a piece of legislation.

I also very much like that everyone has their own agenda, and while no one is forgetting anything about the war, people are adapting to a new order.

Thank you for a very intriguing fic.

Thank you for reading and reviewing. I'm sure I will take on marriage law at some point, I have 3 or 4 versions of this story started that were all much heavier and impossible (for me) to end within the time limit.
