I was just looking for something to read and ran across a story I hadn't seen before. I was browsing through the chapters to see if it was any good, and there was a spoiler for Deathly Hallows in the author's notes! What kind of ... erm ... person (I'll be nice) does that? I was doing so well at remaining unspoiled, too! Crap. I hope it isn't

Stupid stupid author, both for putting a spoiler in the author's notes and for putting up what he/she believes to be a spoiler before the book is out. Someone make blackbird pie because (s)he's going to be eating crow!

Should I accidentally see/hear any spoilers, and I'm trying to prevent that, I plan to take them with a very large grain of salt, the way I would any crackpot theory, no matter how pretty the binding and print are.

I know! And was really bothersome was that she just randomly threw it in sentence like everyone should know it. No warning, no nothing! I'm fairly certain all the stuff out there is fake - I haven't been reading it though, just in case.

A very good plan. I believe I shall follow suit. :)

It was just unexpected. That will teach me to read on an unmoderated site. LOL Luckily, it wasn't about Snape (or any of my favorite characters)- otherwise I would have been really mad. It probably isn't true, anyway, although I just read on msnbc that some people accidentally were shipped their books early and got them yesterday. So now who knows what's real and what isn't. *sigh*

Gah! I hope you pointed out the error of their ways to them, or were you just so mad you shut down your browser? The thing about people is for every fifty who will go out of their way to avoid upsetting anyone, there's always at least one with sawdust for brains who doesn't have the consideration for others to think before they type.

I'm fairly sure she was quoting a fake spoiler, and luckily, it wasn't about a favorite character. It was just said so casually, as if everyone is reading spoilers. I was totally shocked! Time to hide until Saturday, I think. Sigh.
