Hooray you did it! Thanks for this wonderful chapter. It worked all so well together. I particularly liked the interaction in Pansy's talk with Severus. She has become so mature and professional and is now using her Slytherin tactics for counseling. And Hermione's reaction to him when she find out she can't apparate was so in character that I was as relieved as he was to see that she is becoming her old self again. His reply about being friends now was not just quite clever but also quite in character and quite Slytherin I think

Thank you so much! I am thrilled that you enjoyed the chapter! You picked out my favorite bits of the chapter. ;)
I will have to ask Dickie for a picture of their peacock decoration. I totally made up the one in the chapter. I imagine it as silver, with some sort of decorative etchings, and long plumage that wraps itself around the tree. I didn't put this in, but I also imagine that it has a somewhat horrified expression on its face as it is placed atop that garish tree. LOL I think it's used to something far more elegant and dignified. ;)
Oh, as always you ask such good questions! And some are quite insightful. ;)
Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm hopeful that the next chapter won't take quite as long ... we can hope, right? :)
Snape left the house mostly to just get away, to think without Hermione around. He was very hesitant about the idea of opening up to her, and to have her turn the focus onto him left him uneasy. He needed to deal with that. He does have a gift for her -- I think people will be pleased with what it is. :D
Preparations for the baby will be begin soon ... should be interesting, to say the least! LOL
Oh, the tea thing. I just do whatever my Brit picker says. LOL I don't drink tea, have certainly never made any, so I have no clue at all. I just followed her directions. ;)
*waves* I'm so glad that writer's block went away (I hope!). Wonderful chapter, and I love how they are slowly getting to know each other. I love the build up in your stories. :D
