An interesting weekend at our house. On Saturday, hubby and were sitting in the living room when he jumped up and ... well, I wouldn't call it a shriek, exactly. More of an irritated scream? Hmm. Anyway, I asked him what was going on, and he said, "Either I just saw a gigantic bug or we have a mouse."

I had a mouse take up residence in the office last year when a new house was built on the lot behind me. When I couldn't catch the little bugger myself with peanut butter-laden traps, I called in an exterminator. Bill - we call him that because he reminds us of Bill Murray's character, Carl, from Caddy Shack - said that a mouse can crawl through an opening about the size of a dime. Hard to believe. But Bill saved the day for me, and we've been rodent-free ever since.

Mmm, new Shug!fic to read in the near future. *bounces as much as old desk chair will allow*

*grins* I was afraid we wouldn't catch him with the traps--although they did work the first time this happened--and in the end, it was hubby cornering him in a room and ... well, let's just say a broom was involved. *shudders* Yes, we'd read about how they can squeeze through tiny openings. *shudders again* We watched it scurry underneath a closed door ... ewwww!

Hee! It's coming along. I have the prologue and the first two chapters up here on my LJ (it's on my links list), but then I just got overwhelmed by the size of it. But I'm excited to get started now! Yay!

Thank you! I'm so glad she's back. I love that story, but I don't think I was quite ready for it. Hopefully I am now! LOL
