Summary: Severus just wants to get home to play with is wife.

Severus growled as he was shoved aside again in the Atrium of the Ministry. He was already running late and now this idiotic crowd was making it worse. Sometimes he really questioned his decision to leave the reasonably comfortable job at Hogwarts to join the Research and Development team in the Potions department. Obviously, he'd been under the misapprehension that the men and women in the department were intelligent. How had he forgotten that he'd taught a majority of them at Hogwarts? He knew what their capabilities were, damn it!

Sighing, he pushed his way through the crowd towards the flaring green lights of the Floos. Really, he just wanted to get home and spend the evening with his wife. The kids were home for the Easter break but would be spending the night with the Potters. He was really looking forward to an evening with just his wife in minimal clothing. His heart sped up at just the thought.

"Oi, Snape! Is that you? I have a question for you about project #15!"

Severus made the mistake of glancing over his shoulder. Rupert Humphries, the Head of the antidote division, was trying to reach him. Humphries was actually one of the more intelligent wizards in the department, but he had a terrible habit of trying to keep Severus well after hours with questions that could clearly wait. Seeing that Severus had looked at him, Humphries doubled his efforts to reach Severus's side.

"I'm off the clock, Humphries," Severus snapped. "Ask me on Monday!"

"Wha…hey!" Humphries stumbled back as someone ran in front of him.

Severus took his coworker's moment of distraction and stepped into a free Floo.

"Number 16 Crooked Lane, Snape Village, Suffolk," he called, tossing some Floo powder down.

A green, warm 'woosh' of air surrounded him and a moment later he stepped out of his own fireplace. Hermione had thought it appropriate that they moved to a decent cottage in Snape Village in Suffolk. Severus thought it was idiotic since now he found himself being asked if he was a descendent of the original Snape the village was named after. He was, but that was beside the point!

A quick flick of his wand cleared off any remaining soot and, after a glance at the clock, he tapped his wand on the mantle piece to close the Floo connection. He was not taking any chances of being disturbed tonight! Satisfied, he paused, listening for his wife and kids. He didn't hear the kids so they had most likely already left for the Potters' but Hermione was definitely making noise.

Damn, she's started without me!

He rushed up the stairs to their bedroom. He removed the dark gray robes of the Potions R&R department and, even though he knew he was just going to work up a sweat later, he quickly stepped into the shower. He wanted to wash off the grime from hovering over several burning cauldrons. Not to mention he had smelled the sulfuric scent of Lava Imp tongues on his clothes all day after a rather disastrous test of a change to the Pepper Up potion. Once rinsed off, he changed into gray sweatpants and a black t-shirt. His wife liked the way the tight cotton shirts clung to his lean physique. He ran a brush through his hair and pulled it back into a ponytail. Hermione, he'd found, loved to see him with a ponytail high on the back of his head rather than a low queue at the neck. It highlighted his high cheekbones and allowed her to see his eyes better. Plus, she claimed it made him look like a sexy fantasy elf so who was he to complain about that? Severus just liked that it kept his long hair out of his eyes while working.

He hurried downstairs to the living room. Hermione was already working hard. Severus glared at her. Her body undulated with her movements; her breath came out in ragged sighs, and her grunts indicated she was really going at it.

"Why didn't you wait for me?" he demanded, striding further into the room.

"You were taking too long. I got bored," she replied. Her hips swiveled.

"I'm only fifteen minutes late," he growled. "You could have played something with the boys to pass the time."

"They had to finish their homework. Besides, you hate it when I play with them. You say it takes me out of the mood to play with you the way you want me to."

Severus found himself slightly mesmerized by the way his wife's full breasts bounced with her movements. Shaking his head, he glanced down at the sofa. "Damn it, why did you leave me this one? You know I hate this rubber covering!"

"You snooze, you lose, Professor!" His wife laughed, her cheeks bright red from her exertions.

Severus grumbled and grabbed the red covering. It was just so…so Gryffindor! "You know I work better with the black one," he muttered.

"That's all in your head, Severus. Color has nothing to do with your performance! Now, put it on and come join me!''

"You're going to have to start over, you know," he said, adjusting the waistband of his pants.

"I'm always willing to restart with you. Now, what do you want to do? Take it from the top or something new?"

Severus glanced over his options. He wanted to do something that would be fun but allow him to really get into the action. He wanted something that would allow him to prove to his wife that he was the best! And most important, he wanted something that he could definitely win at.

Most of the options were ones the boys liked to do or they did as a family. Hermione was getting impatient if her twitching was anything to go by. He glanced at her and smirked. He loved making her wait. Her explosions were wonderful to watch when she really got into her task.

Finally, he made his choice. Hermione glanced at it and raised a brow.

"You do know red is the better option this time, right? Nobody wants to be green."

Severus glanced at the box in his hand. He shrugged. "I'm willing to take that chance. Besides, green looks much more dignified."

Hermione shrugged. "Okay, it's your choice. Just don't come crying to me when you lose."

She took the box from his hand. Severus moved into position, shaking his arms and legs to loosen up. He always got such a workout playing with his wife! He was sure he'd have to take a pain reliever later, his back always got so stiff from the repetitive motions, but seeing the look of pleasure on his wife's face was always worth it.

Hermione glanced at him and smirked. "Ready to go, old man?"

"I'll show you old," he growled before giving his wife a swift, passionate kiss.

Sebastian, Ichabod, and Evinrude Snape clambered down the stairs, overnight bags over their shoulders, and froze when they heard the sounds of their parents' laughter and shouts. They paused on the landing, confused.

"No, no, no, not that way! Oh, that's going to cost you, Professor!"

"Shut up, woman, I'm trying to concentrate. Your commentary is throwing me off my rhythm, damn it!"

"How is that my fault? I'm not doing anything!"

"Yes, you are! You are blatantly trying to mess me up. No, you stupid…Argh! I told you not to do that!"

"He can't hear you. Besides, you're controlling him. Oh, that was nice. Can you do that move again?"

"I don't even know what I did! Wait, let me try this…"

"Wait, no, don't do that! Aww, you made me come too soon. I wasn't ready!"

"You saw what I was doing; how could you not be ready? This is why you need to stop talking and pay attention."

"This is why I prefer to play alone, you know?"

"Liar, you find it much more interesting when we do this together." The triplets looked at each other with looks of disgust at the deep, suggestive tone of their father.

"Dang it, why do they always get to play with it? It was our Christmas present!" Sebastian, the eldest triplet moaned.

"Dad says it helps them relax after a long day at work. But how does that relax them? They're jumping around and getting all sweaty? Not to mention they're always arguing," Ichabod, the middle triplet demanded.

"Mum says it's because they didn't get to play games like that when they were our age. But I wish they would play with us, too! There are plenty of games that are for 5 players," Evinrude, the youngest sighed.

"Maybe we shouldn't have asked for a Wii for Christmas," Sebastian said, resigned.

The three boys trekked down the stairs and stood in the doorway of the living room. Their parents weaved around and swung their arms using the controllers to move their players. Mario and Luigi jumped around the screen trying to collect as many coins as possible while the familiar theme song played. The boys looked at each other and sighed. It was nice to have parents that were willing to learn how to play the Wii, but it was frustrating that they seemed to have commandeered it for themselves more than for their own kids.

"Maybe we should save up and get them one for their anniversary," Ichabod said.

"Or just get one for ourselves," Evinrude and Sebastian said together.

Their father's triumphant shout caught their attention. They watched, slightly embarrassed and amused as their normally straight-laced father did the universal winner's dance around his scowling wife. On the screen, green-garbed Luigi smiled from the top of the leader board.
