So, I am a total internet nerd. When I saw FANBOYS, my brain immediately went to FANGIRLS. If you do not know what a fangirl is, you're lucky. The easiest ones to spot are those girls who think that "ohmygodedwardcullenisthehottestboyeverifhedoesn'tlovemetooi'lljustdie!" You know the ones I mean. I feel like another thing that was important from class was something Barbara said in the beginning of class. It was that grammar lessons make us feel self-conscience and we are english majors, so imagine how high school students feel and how much it blows their confidence. But Barbara suggested we work at the front end of the assignments, before they write rather than correct them after. I thought it was a good idea and her idea of focusing mostly on the highly stigmatized problems. Also that AAAWUBBIS are subordinating conjunctions, which connect two unequal things. I thought that was a good way to think about it.
