The trials are done and done, to state the blindingly obvious. So is it time to take a deep breath and relax? I think not.

I don't feel I've performed as well as I would like to hope. Having a jam-packed exam schedule for the first week wasn't particularly helpful, but I did have some five or six days to prepare for MX1 and I'm feeling the most ( Read more... )

I hope you did well in the trials. And you'll get your first choice easily...mark my words. I know I can't talk, but 95.00 is pretty low...I must say that i was expecting a 98+ course from you.

I totally bombed Ext-2 Maths, in the literal sense, but thank goodness my rank is staying the same. We'll have to wait and see how I went in everything else.

Yeah man. You can't talk. :P
See, the cut-off for med is 95 but you'd need (close to if not) full marks in the UMAT to be considered for an interview.
There aren't so many 98+ course out there. So are you suggesting I should go with that maths degree so I can complete the mission of becoming one big nerdy loser? I'm not particularly keen on law.

So how've you been?

YUCK MATHS. Do whatever you want, but with your potential, you should aim high. I'm just saying that i'm surprised...95 isn't that high, and i reckon your UAI will be higher than that.

I've been good...uni's pretty great (all pretty laid back and social), and I'm trying to balance it with work, which is stressing me out way more than it should.

What about you? Apart from trials and whatnot, how's things?

I'm glad you're all laid back and social. I don't think I'll ever be able to manage that at uni. Apart from trials and whatnot, everything else is pretty stagnant. I've got no life. :(

Thanks for the encouragements, dude. I do have a pretty high aim (99.5+), but it seems that the courses I'm interested in aren't really demanding for things at the extreme end. Although for medicine at UNSW, the median admission UAI last year was around 99.55 and that's pretty high. Hahaha I think you might turn out to be one of those people who'll tell me that I've wasted my 100 UAI if I pick to do maths education for 84. :P

Whoa whoa whoa! Look who dropped by!

*shudders* I'm getting the English papers back today. (Or so they say. Seriously I will need to be as lucky as one can get. So I'm warmly accepting all your good wishes and sending some your way, too.
