Earning money online?

Hello, I started receiving SSDI in May. I would like to try doing some transcription online through Amazon Mturk. Even if it does work out I don't see myself earning more than $300-500 a month and $50-100 would be more likely. Could this cause trouble with my SSDI benefits? Do I need to call and tell them about it? Does anyone else earn some money ( Read more... )

with SSDI you are allowed to earn up to $1040 a month without affecting your ssdi benefits.

you will need to report it to ssdi tho. just call them up and tell them you have a part time job and they'll tell you what to do. they may have you or your employer fill out paperwork proving you work there, or have you fax in copies of pay stubs. this way they can track and be assured that you stay under the earned income limits. they DO want you to work, even if its just part time for peanuts. its considered a good thing.
