today i got 3rd place in the melee competition held in our school..there was around 70 or so competitors, so i am quite proud of this. the STRANGE thing is that up until today, i only played as adult link; today he didn't feel right so i played as young link instead, and owned. what shocked everyone was not only was i using a character NOBODY else did (the most popular were samus, shiek and big link) but i was also the only girl in the whole competition who advanced, and one of two in the whole thing (the other being a friend of mine.) isn't that strange?
needless to say, i am happy and now young link is my man!! too bad i choked in the final round..but the 1st place winner..sheik..was fucking amazing.
anybody else have any competition experiences they'd like to share?
