24 hour.. Thailand

Don't have much else to say.. Except the random tests you get at the airport seem to randomly pick me every time.

I have learnt however that humor is not appropriate. This time when they say "have you ever done one of these random tests before" I will not respond with "yeah, but it's a bit too public to drop my pants... And shouldn't you have gloves ( Read more... )

Haha they hate humor and take everything very seriously. I have food allergies and always carry food in my bag. Last time I got stopped because of the large bag of almond flour in my bag. I said something along the lines of "at least it isn't coke" and it didn't really go over well.
Safe travels!

Hahaha well it could've been worse- saying: can you get your sniffer dogs out because I just want to know if they can tell the difference between class A drugs and a hotdog..... Oh yeah you'll find that later during the body scan I guess...." May be arrest worthy.

I don't want to say any of that in Thailand though,,, I've seen the movies. :p

No No No .. be funny ext_2077769 July 22 2013, 21:53:54 UTC
I think it is very important in thsi day and age, taht we do all we can to spread humour and light heartedness. i also think it is very important that others can observe this (whilst not being at their own expense of course). It is with this great insight, that i thoroughly recommend the following so you can get the most out of your experience:

1. Always advise the security man (who believes he really should be working for NASDA, or the CIA) that as long as there is no body xray then everything 'should' be alright.
2. Make sure you ask them if coffee beans are really the perfect concealant for narcotics.
3. Make sure you ask him if he is being racist, or if it is because you got caught 'just once' before.

Now, we can watch border patrol, and you get to be a 'star'.... :)

There is now new advertising in the airport to remind you that jokes in bad taste are not appropriate-it actually says: "jokes about bombs in your luggage will be fined up to $5000" which I think just highlights the fact that even though they may know a joke when they hear it, they must still act like a cactus has been rammed up their butt.

Haha I have said it... Went about as well as when a police officer asked if I "knew why I was being pulled over" and I answered with "I assume its because I'm Asian"

Apparently you should never take it to that dark politically incorrect space lol
