Due to limited resources on Tatsumiya Island and the necessity for the island to remain hidden, combat testing for Fafner models could not be done on the island.

As such, Ryo Masaoka volunteered to serve on the White Chalice for a time, participating in battles with a TSX and then using the data obtained by them to help Tatsumiya Island fine-tune the unfinished models for the inevitable day the Festum attack.

Hayato Jin has joined with the White Chalice, bringing with him The Tower: A large ship that looks more like a mobile skyscraper. While his main goal is searching for Shin Getter Dragon, he recognizes that Adventus are a bunch of idiots who need to be dealt with, so White Chalice should be a useful ally.

After an incident six months ago, Calvina Coulange found herself unemployed and drifting once she was released from the hospital she was taken to on Earth for physical rehab. Finding the idea of bumming around the city where she had been treated profoundly depressing, she signed up with the wandering White Chalice at the merest urging of its crew. Technically, Ayame pays her to be a tactician and trainer, but in practice, Calvina just hangs around the ship and occasionally sarcasms at pilots who are doing something suicidal.

Celestial Being and its Gundam Meisters, including Setsuna F. Seiei, have targeted the White Chalice for their armed interventions once or twice in the time since they revealed themselves to the world. However, Veda, the remote supercomputer that manages Celestial Being's tactical decisions, predicted that the ship would ultimately be a major player in the eradication of war.

Thus the Ptolemaios, CB's flagship, was ordered to accompany the White Chalice as an ally for the time being and the two factions managed to form a ridiculously tense truce. Gundam Meisters are allowed on the White Chalice, but no one who isn't formally a Celestial Being member can board the Ptolemaios.

Vigil, an unknown artificial life form ran into the White Chalice crew while they were fighting an unknown entity which was regenerating the damage faster than they could deal it. He stepped in and did something nearby which allowed the group to take care of the threat. He later explained about Aether and Unbound Aether Beasts. Dan offered to let him stay aboard. Vigil accepted.

It was later found that he had other capabilities which were quite useful to have around. Since then he has been utilized as a fork lift as well as to do other tasks which are difficult to do without large construction equipment when he isn't doing his primary function, namely repairing the Aether Wall.

For said information about Aether and Unbound Aether Beasts see the Glossary. He would have explained everything he knew unless someone asked him to stop, so you may assume you already know as much information from the Glossary about his canon as you want. Though none of that information is common knowledge to anyone who is not with the White Chalice fleet.
