Okay, I should probably say something after all. Yes, I said we were with the White Chalice during that Celestial Being mission. No, I wasn't thinking about the consequences of it ( Read more... )

Hiding intent is useless. If anyone wants to attack White Chalice because of its allegiance - let them come. They will have to prove superiority with their own power, or be crushed.

However, this situation creates an entirely different problem...

These words... I heard similar ones spoken many times, years ago. Whatever your opinion is, life experience will evaluate it. It has yet to fail mine.

But the ones who spoke these words... are the reason I am here. I am on White Chalice for their sake. No, that is not right - I chose to be here for their sake.

[Had stumbled upon the discussion, ah yes. He did need to talk to Nadia about the whole slip up but it seems that Devon had brought it up in her own way. He has yet to say anything though.]

[Kamille starts thinking on this.]

White Chalice is a means to an end for you. That much, you've made obvious, and I can respect that. However, if you keep treating other people like crap, you'll end up dead because no one was there to watch your back.

Would dying fit into that plan of yours?

There is no need to feel obliged to watch my back.

[Devon leans in forward, in a vaguely threatening fashion.]
Because I have no intention to die.

Neither do I, that doesn't mean that my chances of dying decrease to near zero because of it. Be realistic here, you're not a supersoldier, death is a very possible thing.

You are correct that avoiding death is a priority - but it is a priority I can achieve myself. Others' help is not necessary.

I am not that easy to kill.

[Uses this moment to chip into this conversation]

Just because a soldier isn't easy to kill doesn't mean that they can't be killed Devon.

All it takes is just a single second of shift in concentration or one unfortunate shot from an enemy.

Why is that what this is about now? Just because it might not be absolutely necessary for one person is no reason to reject an alliance!

An alliance there may be. But one doesn't go saying it out loud everywhere.

Learn some tact.

This is getting too crowded for my taste.

[Devon starts to leave. As usual.]

Join alliances as you wish. But keep in mind what I said - strong individuals do not need them. Random lucky shots of enemies as they fire at you... stop being a concern if you are powerful enough.
