[Here comes Werter with a pile of papers. Prometheus is following, carrying a bit more.]

Couldn't be closer. Fortunately very few people were in the hangar when the beam struck, and those who were already had a lot of experience dodging giant robots toppling over.

Luckily, it's just a close call here too. A few people got hurt but nobody died or suffered anything permanent. Same with the robots as far as I know.

I'm still trying to decide if this ship is blessed or cursed.

The Wolves, especially the massive elementals in their armor, are quick to lend what assistance they can with the heavy lifting. Resnick reluctantly follows in his timber wolf, not wanting to be see to be not helping out, and silently cursing that he had hand actuators installed. He crouches the machine and jumps down when the heavy lifting is done.

"Aff. I knew this would happen someday. An attack would jam our bay doors and leave most of us unable to deploy. But did command listen? Neg."

"The Tower has several emergency exits to the hangar for exactly this sort of situation, but it's at the cost of structural integrity. The White Chalice is one of the sturdiest ships I've ever seen. It's a trade-off, I guess."

"Sturdiness is nothing if one shot takes out our only means of attack. If they do not want to add another door they could at least install some naval class weapons."

Which reflects that 'attack, attack, attack' strategy the Clans tend to favor.

"You're not wrong. I'd worry less if we had a few warships to back us up, but all we've got in this size class is my ship and this one, which are both carriers."

[And Kei's just finishing up the checks to make sure Shin Getter's fully operational once more.]

Yeah, but honestly we've handled worse.
