[Charles didn't get hit by everything out there as bad as Christine, but...he's not looking well. Right after he lands, he unequips the RRC, finds the nearest trashcan, and throws up.]

Ugh...

[He sits down next to the bin, hugging his knees close to his chest. That skintight pilot suit doesn't make him look any less vulnerable.]

[After a bit Charles found Michelle squatting besides him, careful not to touch him. After that experience, touch had to be scary.]

It's alright. You're safe now.

[He just curls up more at that.]

They were alive...

[Michelle tried giving Charles a comforting smile, but a calmer observer than the IS student could easily see that it was strained by the fear she was trying to keep down.]

That's-that's not it!

All those people in the station, they didn't die! Even as that thing...even as it took them, they were still alive!

[Charles just holds his head and sort of...folds inwards. Yep, he's freaking out. And not that Michelle can see it, but he's imagining the infection, crawling up his legs...She can see him shaking like a leaf, though.]

[The Running ace sees Charles in that state. M1 stands next to him.]
"No Worries now. Your back here."
[M1 did not know what happened, but that did not matter.]
"You will be ok now."

Y-yeah...

I guess so.

"Guess so, I will make sure so."
[Not sure how, but that's not the point]
"Your back now."
[produces a bottle of water]
"No need to talk about what happened unless you want to."

[She puts her hand down and gives Charl a pat on the back.]

I remember the first time I ran into the Invaders, I was pretty much petrified in fear when they started to do crazy shit.

[Laura's pretty shaken up by what she saw back on that colony too...but mentally, she manages to tough it out somehow. This doesn't mean she gets out of it unscathed - her escape from that nightmare was a narrow one.

After making it back to the Chalice, she more or less limps over to where her partner is, then quietly sits down next to him and begins to speak;]

Charles...

[Or at least she tries. Unfortunately, she doesn't get anywhere beyond calling his name, and loses consciousness right there and then.

With nothing to hold her up, she ends up leaning against Charles...very much alive, but sound asleep.]

[Charles draws close to Laura, the warmth giving him some comfort...soon, he's asleep as well.]

[Well, sometimes no words are needed, right? It's probably a good thing that Luger is in his current state, or he'd be making fun of this sight.

Laura's in for a big surprise when she wakes up regardless...]
