Mira had woken, her Cyclone wasn't with her, which worried her, though the doctor explained that it was in working order, but the concussion she had received, he explained she should take it easy for a few days.  It was also explained she had been taken to the Chalice.  A quick call to her superior officers had them informing her that they wanted ( Read more... )

*Tron watches you repairing the Cyclone for a bit*

That machine is beautiful! I've rarely seen a transformable machine this small!

Mira turns to look at the speaker. "They're a little harder to work on than other veritech. Not to mention not as durable." She was seated on the floor turning a piece over in her hands a moment. She was beaming at the compliment though. "And thanks, Song Sword's my baby. I'd never change mechs."

Maybe I shouldn've have given up on the idea on making my gustaff transformable. It's about the similar size with this. Shows what they mean when they say about how you shouldn't discard your doodles.

"You design mechs? I'd love to see some sketches sometime if I could. I love trying to build things from schematics."

Hey, that's a new thing.

[Look, Lowe is examining the Cyclone.]

Bikes were rare up in space in the first place, but a transforming one? What will people think of next!

"I've never tried it in space. Though, my under armor might protect me a few minutes..." Yes she's actually pondering it.

"And it probably won't be doing too much of that soon, the powercell drains a little too fast when I do that." She stretches a moment then reaches over for one of the parts that had been damaged in the fight. At least they were easy fixes, nothing that she'd have to call the base for parts. "Take it most the mechs here are space capable?"

Yeah, though most of them can't reach space on their own... once they catch a ride though, it's all fun and games!

So, the bike is a prototype? Running out of juice too quickly, sounds like a serious flaw in design to me.

Interesting. [Smiles at him.]

Actually it's because of the power pack. Ever try using a living organism to create enough juice for a robotic frame? Luckily Valks use a different system, but the Cyclones originally weren't built as combat units, just for scouting. Every repair I do to it I try to tweak it, but really what I need is a better power source than a plant.

[She kicks the unit to open the hatch where the Protoculture battery happens to be.] And apparently only one planet in the system that has the plant used in that battery. All because we lucked out as the crash pad for the Macross.
