[For anyone who'd seen the Gun Sniper, it might surprise them that Rinon wasn't in the hangar, overseeing its repairs (much to Jamie, her Dad, and the mechanics' relief). Everyone seems to have that look on their face lately...

[The big, sunglass'd man moves so damn quietly, his voice comes as a shock.]

We just had a major victory, and there wasn't even a party planned.

Initiation is an important part of any battle. Your first strike set the tone for the entire battle.

Even though it didn't look like it, trust me, you did quite a bit of damage, too. Any less, and we may not have won.

She glanced over at Gun Sniper. "Dad says that I'll have to take it easy with Gun Sniper, even after it's fixed. There were some problems with the legs, and he's not sure if the reinforced stabilizers are working properly."
