He was vague and unhelpful, as usual. I... think I just created the first thing that came to mind. I could try other things, but it'll have to wait until Sigil is fixed up again.

This means you can finally work around Sigil's limitations. Your potential arsenal just skyrocketed!

It's a good intention on the battlefield...

Just remember not to throw your life away trying to protect everyone. I won't say that your highest priority in battle should be yourself... but there's going to be some ugly times you might have to accept the only person you can save is yourself.

[The cat seemed to look even sadder at that, but he understood. Of course the moment Josh started scratching his attention just flew out the window like a brick on a rocket and he was just in a silly/happy mood.]

Sad fact is that doing the right thing isn't as easy as you'd think when you're in a fight.

Still though, you did good out there.

[Yeah, he's definitely going to try to keep Vlaska's spirits up by scratching him. Depressing him would just be a dick move, and that cat's too damn cute.]

... That's right, your machine has a mind of its own too.

Still, just try to remember. I already said this to Vlaska but ultimately, on the battlefield, there are going to be times that the only person you can really save is yourself.

Not that I'm against sacrificing yourself to save others... just don't throw it away meaninglessly. And doubly for you too, since there's Imber's life to take into consideration too.

Um, how to put it...

Dying to save someone else isn't meaningless.

And Imber...
[Right, he was out there trying to stop everyone fighting...]

...Imber feels the same way. If it's a situation where I would want to give my life...I think he would, too.

But it's good to know you have each other's backs.
