The mission The Heroic Path to the Dawn! was completely successful.
Mission Summary

The GDF was about to test out the combination system on Team SRX when the Aerogaters attacked the testing site. After a little while a strange mecha with an even stranger, but familiar pilot joined the battle. Fortunately Elzam a man who claimed to be named Ratsel Feinschmecker showed up to help out.
The new enemy didn't want to left out and so he used his "secret summoning powers" to call the Grungust Type 2 to the battlefield. The Grungust Type 2 proved to be formidable, especially with Kusuha as its pilot! But all was not lost for yet ANOTHER ally joined the fray in the form of the Eternal commanded by Lacus Clyne! Athrun Zala joined the battle as well.
Bullet managed to snap Kusuha out of her trance but do to a regenerating machine, they needed more power to defeat this enemy. Bright ordered the combination of SRX, despite it being never tested and in a combat situation, but do to the time neccessary to complete the transformation, the rest of the GDF needed to protect team SRX. In the end SRX was formed and the mysterious mech was destroyed. What happened to its pilot is unknown.

-Ratsel Feinschmecker has been accepted into the GDF. Meanwhile the search for Elzam has been called off do to unforeseen circumstances.
-Kusuha returned to the GDF after being saved from the Aerogater's mind control.
-Lacus Clyne and the Eternal have made an alliance with the GDF and Athrun Zala has returned with her from PLANT.
-The Freedom and the Justice have been moved to the Eternal and are now being stored there.
