Have you heard about the new horror movie that's coming out? I enjoyed this and makes me wish they made really good horror movies still. They really don't have the same touch as they used to.

There are still some good ones being made. The quality and relative cheapness with which effects can be achieved via CG has revitalized the genre, either with new films or remakes of old classics. Admittedly, a lot of them fall into the "clever" category in the wake of the Scream movies, but some are rather original.

I really enjoyed the first Final Destination flick and thought the first sequel of it was even better. The death gags in FD2 are great, and the opening sequence of that movie is incredibly well-done; suspenseful and tense.

If you want a real treat: catch the remake of The Hills Have Eyes. It is relentless in its terror and much more powerful than Wes Craven's late 70s original. I haven't seen the sequel to it yet (the remake sequel, not the original sequel.... the original sequel is REALLY bad) but hope to sometime in the near future.

I've always felt that horror movies were designed to teach chastity. Thanks for backing me up on that. ;)
