I was playing Team Fortress 2 today, it’s the first time I’ve sat down and played a video game in probably three weeks. It’s an extremely fun game. I think it’s the most enjoyable multiplayer game I’ve ever played. Every class is not only distinct in terms of weaponry, but ( Read more... )

See, I love playing supporting roles. But only if other people are willing to, y'know, save my life back.

This is why I don't play online games unless I'm with a team I know.

After playing Medic for probably 5+ hours in the past two days, I think I'm starting to actually enjoy it. I certainly seem to be good at it, as not only am I consistently in the top 3 on my team (usually #1) as Medic, but there's been several times in several different games now where the tide has been noticeably turned in my team's favor as a result of my Medic-Commando tactics.

Which isn't to say I'm not acting in a support role. I think I am. But unlike most of the medics I see, I'm not just hanging back and refusing to go anywhere without a couple Heavies nearby. I'm actually pushing forward by myself.

It's only gotten better since I got my upgraded gun that actually heals me a little when I hit my enemies with it.

I'm doing pretty well for myself, I've got 26 or more of the Medic achievements now, though I doubt I'll be able to get all of them. There's several achievements that require me to uber several people from my buddy list, and well, my buddy list is pretty bare.
