September 2nd, 2010: The Worst Day of my Life

Sep 03, 2010 13:30

I’m not uncomfortable telling you guys- many of whom I haven’t had the fortune to speak with, much; much less, meet in real life- that my family is going through a tremendous hardship, now; I feel that it is largely your business, and I ask for your help.

On Tuesday, August 31st, I learned that my father was diagnosed with leukemia. It was a ( Read more... )

I can't think of anything to say to you other than what I've said already...but it never hurts repeating it, I suppose. There are no words I can offer you that can alleviate any of the pain. But just know that I am here...you have my number, my Skype, email...I am always reachable in some way, so if you need anything or find yourself ready to talk, do not hesitate to come to me.

Also...I am by no means loaded, but if you really want to do either of those cons and are finding yourself coming short of the means to get there, let me know. I'll help however I can.

*hugs*

P.S. In the vein of funny YGO-related stuff: http://fav.me/d2xqvdy Angelica101 started another hilarious TAS-inspired comic. It's fabulous so far. :)

I'm deeply grieved for your loss, and will keep you in my prayers. I hope you continue to have fun with your friends though your dad is gone. You must always keep a positive heart and think about how he's still watching you with God. ^^

I can't say much about my dad...he was an alcoholic, smokes, does stupid shit, has diabetes, and is Bipolar...so, he's not as great a dad as he should be. But... dismissing all that aside, I'd think I'd be very distressed and broken if my dad died or something else happened to him. He wasn't there for most of mine and my brothers' lives and he's making up for it now, trying to be a better man.

I'm crying....your letter hit me hard so I guess we're 'kindred spirits in Christ' or better since you said your family was very Christian. As said before, I will pray for you, and for your family in hopes that you can achieve what you want, and be who you want to be for your dad, and for yourself.
