THAT sucks! (I just googled it never having heard of it before). I'm sorry to hear that you have it, but I'm glad you're taking care of it right away.

*whines in sympathy*

Well, sort of. I just called the eye clinic and the earliest they can get me in is three weeks into October. If this is iritis, as I suspect it is, I will be blind by then, so I will actually have to go through emergency. It burns me up because the ophthalmologist last year when I had this told me that because I was already in the system with a history of relatively serious eye disease, I could avoid the emergency route and call them directly to get in fairly quickly. A month is not fairly quickly. So the people at the clinic actually encouraged me to use emergency, which is something that bothers me because emergency should be available for, well, emergencies! How frustrating.

Maybe it will pass and end up being part of my current sinus cold. *crosses fingers*

I don't know what the system is, so I might be talking out of my arse here... but this IS an emergency. Don't feel bad about it, get your arse in there! Atta girl!

Basically the only thing stopping me is the possibility that this isn't what I think it is and thus not an emergency after all. When it comes to using emergency I like to make sure it actually is one, which means waiting for it to get worse. Anyway I have called the clinic back and hope to get in touch with the doctor herself, rather than the reception, so maybe I will be able to get in tomorrow.

I blame the receptionists. I think they send out bad-eye vibes so that they will be able to exert power in the world.

In that case she should give them the evil eye.
