Enjoyed this enormously. Funny and bright, well paced. I could see Dave and Jeannie sitting in a room together, trading "my brother can..." quips and never figuring out how they are 'related.' Well done.

Thank you so much! Half the inspiration for this was how they were connected and they had no idea. I just wish I could have had more 'my brother can'...hmm... maybe I'll have to do something about that at a later date.

Oh, that was really a delight to read! I loved their bonding, the reveal scene at the end, and especially the fact that they stayed in touch -- how awesome! Great character voices.

I am happy that you loved it and though you can't see the huge grin on my face (at least I hope you can't see it because that would be freaky and/or stalkerish) but I can't stop smiling. This one was a fun one to write. I'm a little overtired so I'm going to cut off the rambling right now.

I never got a feel for Dave, but I know you've got Jeannie right! And her recollections of Mer.... I got a huge grin out of this story, but it's also nice to see John actually touching his brother. And I can even believe it, too!

Thank you so much! We got a whole two minutes with Dave so I had a lot of room to play with his characterizations and Jeannie's just came so easily. It was fun writing their interactions and John touching and reaching out for Dave was probably one of the most important moments for me in this story, though the rest was a blast to write.

Thank you so much for the review! The moment between John and Dave was something I wanted so much to do (the story was originally an excuse just to write that but then Jeannie barged in and took it over). I am glad you loved it so much!
