So I get home from work last night at about 9:45. I go into the bedroom and start changing, and my husband follows me in, plops onto the bed, pats the space in front of him, and says, "Come over here; I have to tell you something

Oh no! That's awful! I'm glad to hear that everyone's going to make it. Yikes!

My mom has mentioned carrying mace in case her little dog every gets attacked. I dunno how effective it would be on pits though.

Yeah, it sounds like these pitbulls were awfully determined. The one had to be almost choked to death before it would let go of our dog's throat. I doubt mace would have done anything to a dog that viciously determined.
