What If?

 It’s funny, isn’t it, how you can be perfectly happy with your life but still wonder sometimes, what if?

I’m perfectly happy working as a librarian.  I’ve been reading ever since the lightbulb went on over my head and I figured out how to put the little black marks on the page together into words and the words into sentences.  It wouldn’t be any ( Read more... )

I think you have the capacity to fall in love with just about anyone if you actually put in enough effort to get to truly know them - the problem with most people is that the eccentricities distract you or dissuade you from going too close. But once in a while, the timing is right and you're open and you let them in. So yeah, you might be in love with someone else, or eventually you might be.

And you'd probably wonder about a calmer, lazier life, inside of doors, shut in with books..

I wonder if there isn't a middle ground if you seek it. There might be libraries aimed at Paleontology, perhaps that would house fossils as well as books. Certainly something you could look into ten years down the line if you're feeling like exploring other parts of yourself.

The whole "loving someone else" thing isn't really the point, in a way. I'm sure that if I hadn't found my Monkey, I'd have found someone else. There are far too many people in the world to not find someone, sometime, you know ( ... )

you know I've had enough weird occasions of paths crossing repeatedly with the same people that I kind of wonder if you'd still have ended up knowing the same people in different ways.
