The evening in which you expect the murderer to strike again goes quietly for all of you, and no dreamspeakers appear to have gone missing

Guessed. If I've lost my bet, we can discuss the precautions I took at the next meeting, as well as figuring out what happens. Most likely, I won a couple bucks off of Erich.
Ed/Chris: So, figure anyone who bet on a specific individual lost. Anyone who bet on a group probably lost. Anyone who bet against an individual or a group probably won.
To everyone: Obviously you'll want to know more information, tell me how you get it.
I think the mages will want to try to get to the apartment to look around for any tarot cards and/or magical spells that might have taken place in the apartment. Also, we may want to retrieve the body to have Martha (Sorry, if I'm misremembering your character's name, Newt) do an autopsy on it.
Nick, I activate my contact base, if this was in boston I probably can get ahold of at least 1 cop who has been inside the scene (or has access to the reports at least) to find out everything I can.
Once I know the name of the victim (or as much identifying info as possible, if they haven't identified yet) I contact the mages to give them/ point them towards the identiy of the victim to determine what their mage connections are. I then start working on getting direct access to th scene and body myself. (I amy be able to take others with me, Nick let us know)
If you are able to take some others with you, I'll go with you to try to do the "time in the past" spell to see if I can see how this happened (probably not but it couldn't hurt to try).
It is in Boston (sorry if the references to Boston were too obscure - I realize some of the location specific references could sound like Chicago).
One of your connections happens to be owed a favor by the precinct captain - he pulls it in to get you some details. The gist is as follows - blood spatter throughout condo although heaviest in bathroom - body was in the bathroom just outside the tub, internal organs removed and missing, feet removed and coated in gold, ToD likely sometime late the previous night or early in the morning (11pm-2am), CoD unclear (awaiting autopsy).
Notably, you receive no information on the identity of the victim. Your contact tells you that the captain refused to disclose that information.
The police have made no substantive statements to the media as of yet.

For my net results it is sort of up to Nick on how much interest I could drum up in the vampire community.

All mage people: do we want to gather together somewhere to talk about our plans?
