IF YOU WANT TO SEE LULU'S FIRST SUMMONER, THEN GO INTO THE CAVERN BELOW THE BRIDGE TO GAGAZET. THAT IS WHAT I HAVE TO TELL YOU.

And the failed summoner is, as I recall, the guy they were guarding last time! I could be wrong.

... I'll leave you a proper comment later, I'm telling you this as a "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAIT DON'T GO TO GAGAZET YET!" Although now I'm picturing Auron casting Holy and it's just. s;ldkjf;lsjdkng;ldsgndk.jfng;dklfng;sd!

I can tell you right now that The Sandman is all about the continuity. Sometime brain-fryingly complex, invisibly subtle continuity, but it is all building toward a specific conclusion, and it all relates in some way back to character development - okay, the volume you're referring to is A Game of You, right? I think the one directly after that, Volume 6, is Fables And Reflections, which sets up a lot of really important background detail even though it doesn't seem as though it does (it also has one of my favourite stories in it, Ramadan). So stick with it!
