I love
this video so much, for so many reasons. LET ME LIST THE MAIN ONES FOR YOU, BECAUSE I LOVE TO MAKE LISTS
1) Heteronormativity? What heteronormativity? Oh, the heteronormativity that they shook up and stood on its head.
2) Sexy fat ladies singing and dancing on top of tables. Hell yes.
3) Awesome song.

1) Considering that Sex, Gender/Sexual Identity and Sexual Expression are all more appropriately expressed as a sliding scale between two extremes, "normativity" is really just the lazy man's shortcut of trying to stuff people into neatly-labelled boxes. Fuck that.
2) I suspect I would look remarkably close to that, if I put myself into a wonderfully sparkly dress. Without the awesome voice, sadly.
3) Yes, and catchy to boot. It'll be running inside my brain for a while. XD

1) Yeah, I really like the whole "gender blending" idea. Interestingly, interacting with people in my W&GS class has really made me realize just how enforced heteronormativity is -- I mean, before that, I didn't have that much exposure. Now I look around at all the (usually female) students and realize how much time most of them spend on their hair.
2) Everyone should have a wonderfully sparkly dress. :D PICTURES!
3) I had to go buy it from iTunes. It seems... slower, weirdly enough. Possibly I need to try getting an illegal copy of it. Bah.

Mwahaha! I am vaguely surprised you have not seen this video yet (unless you have and are just being nice and commenting), since I found it on the genderfork site. But! I am glad I could spread the boppiness.
Also, I have the official, iTunes version if'n you're interested. It... doesn't seem quite as boppy as the video version and I can't figure out why. Or how that even works. But! Maybe it's just because there is no jaunty lady and moustached man jaunting around.
