Yesterday was the first of Caroline's birthday parties (the second is tomorrow, on her actual birthday), and I posted a bunch of pictures on Flickr. Here are some highlights for those of you who don't want to go to another site:
I had lost 30 lbs before I came to Europe, so I've probably lost about 15 since being here. It initially came off really quickly, like, 10 lbs in the first two months and then it slowed down a lot. I need to do something to jump start it again. Maybe I'll try a gym.
Losing weight is not easy. You should be very proud! :)
I don't know if you posted this or not, but if you did, I missed it - what made you choose Prague? You had gone there for a work trip right? Is that how you met Caroline?
No, what happened is that I quit my job because I was really depressed and needed a change. I was looking at a few different cities, but the two that made the most sense were London (because of the language thing) and Prague, because of Caroline.
Caroline is my best friend from college, and she's been living in Europe since we graduated. First she was in Switzerland for two years and now she's here. I came to Prague so that I wouldn't be completely alone and I'd have her.
Also, my initial plan when I came to Prague was to do a lot of writing and work on freelancing, but that didn't go as well as planned. I did finish some writing (and start some other things) but not a single word of it has been read by anyone but me. So this was how I wanted to pay for things instead of eating through savings. In the end? Bye bye, savings! (Not all of it but it was still a painful chunk.)
you're very welcome. i'm only telling the truth! and im sorry you're having one of those days :-( i get em all the time, too. but just remember, you have accomplished so much!!!!!!!
hey, just because you're not a twig doesn't mean you're not attractive! and losing weight is so hard...you should be proud to have lost all that weight! :)
you look great btw, even with an unflattering chest angle. hehe!

How much have you lost since living in Europe?
I am reminded of when I went to France, and now the tables are turned!
