I am not flying to St. Louis this weekend. I should probably plan a trip to visit my family before the end of the year, but the reason for going now is no longer so pressing: my grandpa was released from the hospital yesterday

That's great news! I'm so glad for your family. I think the trip to visit before the end of the year is a great idea. I'm sure they would all love to see you under less frightening circumstances.

I just hope that his health remains stable and that people keep me clued into what's going on.
