My parents will be in town this weekend, and so far it seems that everything I want to do with them is either absurdly expensive or questionable in terms of how well it'll entertain everyone.

Maybe you could go to some wineries in Napa? Or there must be a free SF guide filled with some neat stuff...Walk around the Mission?

Carnaval (or Carnivale?) is in the Mission District, so we could sort of kill two birds with one stone if we went there. Plus my dad is a Spanish teacher and would probably love seeing that area and the festival.

how often do you see your parents? if they flew into town, it might be a great idea to treat them to that $100 dinner show each.

You make a good point: I only see them two or three times a year--probably only twice this year. The last time I saw them was at Christmas and I don't foresee either of us traveling to visit again until Christmas this year.
