I talked to my dad on the phone this weekend, and he informed me that my high school is going to put on a production of Les Miserables this summer. I almost have no words. I don't know how you feel about the music in modern musicals (you love your classical music), but I think you would probably like Les Mis. It's touring, and I suggest seeing it if it comes your way. :)

I played Bamatabois and Grantaire in QHS' Les Miserables, and I can say with complete honesty that not only did we do the show justice, we caught lightning in a bottle to create the greatest musical experience that QHS has ever seen. You're right about needing a lot of great singers, and you know what? We had a lot of great singers. Stefan-Paul Schweitzer, Megan Miller, Adam Bowen, Libby Ruth, Hannah Denckla, Andrew Parks, and Craig Kurjanski are magic on stage together with their voices. I have never been surrounded by such musical, singing and acting talent ( ... )
