Charlotte experiences the disorienting feeling of not knowing whether the alcohol-saturated breath is hers or Juliet’s
Love this. A very apt description of two drunks and how drunk they really are.

“I don’t know if that’s exactly how ‘whatever happened, happened,” works.” Sarcasm. Right. And normally she would respond in kind, but at this point, sarcasm is a little beyond her, so she opts for sincerity instead.
I love that here she opts for sincerity since, yes, almost everything she says is laced with sarcasm and a bit of contempt.

“Who says I’m trying to drink you away? Maybe I need all this vodka just to put up with you. I think I’m finally understanding Jack’s alcoholic tendencies.”
I just love Miles! :D Perfect Miles line here.

“Those two people in our bathtub-they’re the research team?”
LMAO. Apparently in Dharma they go just as hard, or harder, than college students!

He looks instantly down. “Are you naked?”
“I had to take a shower,” she explains, as if it all makes perfect senseI think it did make perfect

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY! I can't even tell you how thrilled I am that you liked this, ESPECIALLY the Claire part. Because what I was trying to do here, mostly (believe it or not), was prepare for the Claire scene in Straight Line. In this fic, I'm leaning a little closer to "squirrel baby" Claire, and I wanted to make sure this version of her would work for you. Actually, I still have some questions about SL Claire, which I plan to send to you soon--stay tuned!

I'm so, so glad my random comment helped spawn this awesome fic ... I love how you take one central concept and apply it to all these different pairings and characters ... the cute Jack and Juliet scene, the Daniel and Charlotte (hearts forever, seriously; I think that was my favourite part, showcasing all the different, good-and-bad aspects of their personalities -- Charlotte's temper, how she's able to call Daniel out on his stuff, his apology in the second scene, etc.) Miles and Christian, Claire ... there's so many funny, touching, sweet and spooky moments in this, it's so fantastic.

If only this were canon! So much awesome character development and growth in relationships and island weirdness ... I just love it! :D :D :D
