OMG SQUEAKYBOOTS I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anytime Christian is in here, in smokey form or not, I love it.

I really loved that he called Jack out “You always did like to blame people,” Christian observed with a humorless smile, “Do you know why you like to do that? Because you need to believe so badly that everything is a choice. You need to believe that you can control the things around you.”

Because you've made me so happy with Christian I gave it a whirl (trust me I won't be hurt if you don't want to use it, especially since I'm not really sure what kind of pic/avi you're after)

Oh, that's so lovely of you--thank you!

And: hee! I had no idea you loved Christian that much, or I would have written him in sooner. Actually it was not part of my original plan at all but now I think it sort of fits with where I want the fic to go.

I always thought the Jack/Christian relationship was fascinating. In the end, the show disappointed me quite a bit by not following up on all the sh-t that went down with him in the s1 flashbacks (especially in "White Rabbit," which was so marvelously creepy). There just had to be more to that story than they gave us...

I just love this section! The part with Christian and Jack is so deliciously creepy, and makes me wonder what else the island has in store for Jack. And hee to Charlotte slapping him awake; your characterization of her is so, so perfect here, and I love how well you describe the rest of the scene (the smoke, Charlotte's injuries, etc.). I seriously cannot wait until you post the next part! :D

Thank you so much!

I'm especially glad that I'm not the only one who finds the idea of Charlotte slapping Jack amusing. :) At the risk of taking liberties with the character, I've been trying to use Charlotte as something of a foil for Jack's intensity and seriousness!
