Curled up in the corner of the Great Halls, Rangiku sat with her forehead resting against her knees. Her journal, which she'd kept with her through the say, was a short distance away - the victim of a horrified throw after reading one too many insane journal entries.

She leaned against the woman next to her. "I don't want to say 'this would never have happened when I was a kid,' because that makes me sound old but--" the blonde looked over at her best friend, "-- I think I might actually be right this time."

Ashe supported Rangiku's weight easily for her smaller frame, leaning back against her best friend in a kind of horrified silence. Something was tugging at her as though she wanted to get up and dance, but she was squashing that idea for the moment, brain too broken to really continue. She'd chosen the Great Hall to hide in on a whim, thinking it would be the safest place; however now she was beginning to think she'd been wrong about that as she glanced around at the decorations. This could not end well.

"If you are old, then so am I," she muttered. "I have to agree with you, though. This is absurd. What was the Headmaster... oh nevermind I don't want to know."

"You're younger than me," came the muffled reply. "Why is this the one time I turn out to be responsible and say it's a bad idea for me to have sake? At least then we could drown it out, ne?"

Lifting her head from her knees again, Ran gently nudged Ashe and slung an arm around her shoulders. "We'll be all right. As long as we stick together, Nanao can't get us." She paled a little. "You have your wand, right?"

"Like that matters much," Ashe muttered, wrapping one arm around Rangiku and tensing slightly as she spotted a few people trickling in. "I would say that's a good idea, but then you'd join the ranks of crazy people and I'd have to scream at you."

Nudging her friend with her foot, she snorted at the implication that she might not have her wand around. "When do I not?" she asked, leaning against her friend still. "People are starting to come in... What now...?"

It was kind of weird showing up without the teme -- well, not really, since he'd sent a clone (okay, about ten, in case the teme got violent) to 'persuade' him, but then it seemed like none of the interesting teachers were here! Crap...

Well, whatever; he'd just wait until someone else showed up. Maybe he'd send more clones after the teme, he wasn't too confident that ten would do...

sorry for the late!fail~ halcyon_hime April 28 2009, 04:46:41 UTC
Orihime was ridiculously exicted to be at the party for some reason.
It might have been the just the joy of having a party, it might have been the dress, it could have been the fact that she was going with her two of her favourite people in the world!
Whatever it was, she felt she might burst with happiness at any moment~

Entering the hall, she spotted Naruto in the crowd she sped across the room towards him. Catching him unawares she snuck up behind him, leaning against his back and reaching around him to clap her hands over his eyes. "Guess who, Naruto-kun!"

Ichigo trailed after Orihime, black scowl even darker than usual (as seemed to be happening quite often these day). A few students looked like they might be considering going near the girl, but one look at his face sent them packing.

Good. Few less bastards to impede Ichigo in his duty as a friend. Orihime had a tendency to not realise what the hell was going on around--

Ichigo blinked, abruptly realising that he'd lost track of the girl. The hell--?

Looking around he, spotted her instantly despite the people in the way. And almost wished he hadn't. Something to do with his friendly duty, maybe. Ichigo couldn't really tell past the rising urge to punch Naruto in the face.

...Maybe the throat, he decided, as Orihime clapped her hands over the Gryffindor's eyes.

Somewhere behind him, he could feel an incredibly murderous killing intent. Or something that meant harm, anyway, directed in his general direction, and Naruto felt a nervous smile slip onto his face. He wasn't expecting something this strong at what promised to be a pretty good party.

"Guh! Wha? Who?" Naruto stuck his tongue out of his mouth, still smiling nervously. "Uh, uh, uh...Hime-chan? Is that you?"

Nanao swept into the hall, dressed as splendidly as only a sweet transvestite could for such an occasion, ready to meet and greet her guests.

She was tingling with anticipation; not only looking forward to the fun (of which there was certainly plently to be had at the party), but to see the school's reaction to her marvelous Shalice. Oh, Nanao really couldn't wait to show off that luscious body~

Giving a passing look over the decorations, she was pleased to find Godot and Kristoph had done adequately.

[ooc: I know Nanao is supposed to think she's a guy, but I'm going to keep refering to her as a girl for my own sanity/ease of writing...
She'll be around all night so if you want to start a new conversation that's cool.
Also! She will turn quite violent if you try to get her away from the fun (ala: icepick in the back) so be warned... ]

Spotting his master enter, Godot moved over to greet her. He threw a glance and a slow smile as a few students who took a few steps back as he moved past them, usual sharp suit replaced by a shabby looking jacket and an open shirt, white hair looking lank and messy. It was like someone had taken Professor Godot and dragged him through a ditch-- but he was still smiling smugly from behind his mask.

"I hope we have exceeded expectations, Master... Kristoph and I attended to every detail personally." Godot inclined his head in a slight bow, exaggerating his new-found slouch even more.

Kristoph was not far behind Godot in greeting the Master as he too stepped out of the woodwork to be sure she didn't need anything else. He was dressed a bit outlandishly for the occasion, blond hair puffed out instead of neatly placed as usual. It appeared that his choice of dress was something of a long black jacket with white cuffs and collar, and... fishnet and boots for his legs and feet.

It wouldn't be a pleasant memory once he was through.

Walking up purposefully to Nanao and Godot, he smiled pleasantly at them. "We certainly put everything we had into the celebration. I am sure it will be a pleasure to work with tonight."

Nanao looked over briefly as her two servants emerged out of the crowd.
She wondered for a moment if she should have made them dress up a little more for the occasion... Then put the idea out of mind. These two were best left serving her guests, after all.

"You've certainly haven't done as badly as I expected." she replied dryly, idly rearranging her corset. ...should she have worn the red one instead? "Be sure to keep it up for the rest of the evening and I'll be very pleased with the both of you~"

She paused as the music changed, and an amused grin slowly spread over her face. She'd have to find the dj at some point and thank them personally.

Ren had occupied the stage at the end of the great hall, standing behind a very….he couldn’t really describe it other then a steampunk turntable. Took a few good minutes at the beginning to figured out how to work the magically operated DJ booth and before he knew it, the melody of Smooth Criminal started playing from the multiple small (and a few giant) speakerphones that surrounded the room.

It was impressive and Ren, along with Haruhi Suzumiya, spent most of the party taking turns and playing songs that they knew were danceable, no matter how old or new or what language they were in.

Noticing their dear host and the cronies make her entrance from his spot on the stage, Ren almost fell over laughing at the sight of them and prayed that Sakura would get pictures for him like he asked earlier. Nudging his fellow DJ, he pointed at them and said, "I think we need a…more appropriate song choice for the host's arrival." Lowering the sound momentarily at the end of the upbeat Russian techno music that was playing, he fiddled around ( ... )

Haruhi was having more fun than she'd expected. Usually she avoided parties, hating both dancing and standing around feeling awkward, but tonight was turning out to be kinda fun...

Reading through a tacklist, she looked up as Ren nudged her. She followed his gaze to see... was that who she thought it was?! She stared mutely as Ren changed the song, certain that she could not be seeing what her eyes told her she was seeing.

"Wha- What..." she began, unsure even how to ask Ren what the hell was going on. "Ren- That's Professor Nanao?!" She managed in the end.

Chuckling a bit at Haruhi's obvious confusion he gave her a small pat on the head, "Yeah, that's Nanao in body. But in mind, there a whole other persona going on up there." He pointed to the two male professors, "Judging by how those two are dressed, I think they are just as screwball as she is right now."

He noticed Nanao slowly grin from the song change and, although Ren knew she was under the impression she was the great Doctor Frankenfurter, it was still Nanao smiling at him and, compared to her normally stern face, seeing her smile like that was actually kinda creepy.

Like nightmares for weeks kinda creepy.

Nanao hadn't forgotten about the DJ~

As the evening and the party progressed she slowly made her way across the hall, meeting and greeting and getting ever closer to the old turntable. She'd recognized the two students from across the hall and smiled at them as she approached it.

"You two are doing a marvelous job over here, thank you~" she commented, her eyes sweeping over the two of them. Though Haruhi looked just a little uncomfortable, Ren seemed quite at ease. "I must say I deeply approve of your taste in music." She smiled playfully and winked at the two of them. "Are you both enjoying the party?"

Party! Party! There was a party! PallaPalla was dressed for the occasion, wearing bright blue circus-style regalia as she marched her way into the great hall. She didn't know what was being celebrated, but it sounded fun, and really weird, and fun and weird together made furd, or maybe wein. Neither really sounded like good words, she she stuck with weird and fun. Besides, two was better than one. Especially if you were the one with two.

Once she'd arrived at the source of all the hubbub and debauchery, she did a skillful cartwheel and tumble into the room, grinning like the child she appeared to be.
