The room may have had a relaxed element to it, the slow jazz Godot enjoyed so much because of how perfectly it suited drinking coffee playing quietly, and the lights soft and inviting... also perfect for drinking coffee. And brooding. However, Godot was completely tense. Ever since that first comment from Kitten he'd been shaking like a decaff freak who'd been snuck a double espresso and he'd barely stopped. This was just... completely surreal.
Sipping his coffee, he stared into the fire as it crackled. He couldn't see it clearly, not really, but he could feel the intense heat radiating from it, and that was something. At the sound of a familiar voice, he almost leapt out of his chair. As it was, he managed to just twist around, mid-gulp.

One hand strayed up to his mask, fingers lightly gripping the metal to adjust it. Kitten. He hadn't known if he'd be able to see her, the goggles her wore to restore his sight being magical in nature but far from perfect. Mia's fear rang through her mind, fear that he really wasn't the person she thought he was. But he was talking to her just like he always did, speaking about coffee and using metaphors. The ghost tried to remember how to breathe, how to get the air through her body. Rangiku's spell was doing a good job of making her more like a solid body. She could tell she'd stopped looking so ghost-like simply because of the way her breath refused to pass through her lungs
