The shackle around his ankle was just icing on the cake along with the five inch heels. Those however, he took off the moment he saw them and tossed them over to the opposite side of the room. He wasn't going anywhere other than this room so he clearly didn't need shoes.
And then when someone bursted in the room, Ren looked over at the armoured knight and frowned. Great, he was going to be saved by a dude and...a small one at that. But when the metal helmet was removed, Ren just blinked at who it was.
Nana?
"Thank you o fearless knight."
Wait....that wasn't what he wanted to say.

Nevertheless, Nana the Knight noticed the chain that bound her Princess in place. Walking over, her armor rattling against the tower's stone floors, she held her blood-stained sword up, and without a word brought it down upon the chain. The sound of metal hitting metal echoed through the room's walls, and with that, the chain that had held the fair maiden to the room shattered apart.
Relaxing her stance and sheathing her sword, Nana took a step closer to Princess Ren. One, gauntlet-covered hand came up to caress the fair maiden on the cheek... and Nana was freaking out. Unfortunately, that didn't stop next few words from coming out of her mouth.
"My fair maiden, you are now free..."

Still, it was nice that his leg was now free from the chain, allowing him to finally move and the first plan of action was the get the hell out of there, back to the dorm and out of this damn dress. But, some greater power didn't seem to allow that as instead, he just sat there and let Nana pet his face and say sappy words to him.
He almost wanted to laugh at the 'fair maiden' line.
