It had been a few weeks since Leoben had last been in Hogsmede. Not since that disastrous night of smuggling the box out of the school. Since then, he'd made a point of avoiding the town, and even though he now found it safe, he was still avoiding the Hogs Head like the plague.
Still, it was nice to be out and about again. He ran a few errands at some of the other stores, namely Honeydukes and the Quill shop, before heading to the Post Office. It seemed odd, considering he had Caliburn, but Leoben had a different message to send, and he didn't want it to be completely traced back to him. He needed a different owl.
[Feel free to encounter him either going to or coming from the post office]
Agni was running a few errands himself, otherwise he probably would have remained back at the school. Although it had been nice the one time he'd joined his fellow staff members at the pub, he'd easily slipped back into his role of dutiful servant, ending up spending more time assisting the waitresses than anything else. No, today he just wanted to complete a few chores.
Agni stopped and looked up at the Post Office. It was rare, but occasionally a letter addressed to his master would arrive here instead of at the school. It would be best to see if that would be the case today. That was about the time he spotted a familiar face exiting the building..
Leoben left the post office feeling a little bit better. The Owl he'd sent the letter with would do the job, at least, that was what he had seen. Still, there was a feeling of uneasiness. He was, once again, risking the life he had created. Still there wasn't much he could do about it now.
He glanced around the street, wondering what to do, since he wasn't really ready to go back to the school just yet. It was then that he spotted Agni, and gave a quick wave.
"Leoben! How good it is to see you out and about," The caretaker responded returning the wave. Walking over to the other man, he paused and answered the question," Yes actually, was that what you were doing?". There was nothing in Agni's hands indicating that he probably wasn't here to mail anything himself.

Riku found himself a good spot that was a little more at the back of the pub, leaning back in the booth with an ice-cold butterbeer and a paper parcel of Honeydukes sweets that he probably wouldn't admit to liking as much as he did.

Curiously, the petite redhead peered into the pub. Hikaru wasn't exactly sure that she was allowed in a place like this-- but then she spotted other students inside. It must be okay!
Entering the room she searched for any familiar faces. She didn't see anyone she knew and she almost missed seeing the boy seated so close to the back! The Honeydukes sweets caught her eye. Smiling she went over and decided to start a conversation. If he liked sweet things he couldn't be all bad!
Riku put the caramel toffee he'd been about to eat down. Surreptitiously. Almost as an afterthought, he pulled up a chair, for Hikaru, if she needed a seat.
"It's pretty quiet, so far. Done getting your stuff?"
She looked curiously at the temporarily abandoned toffees but didn't think much about it. "Oh, thank you!" Hikaru's gratitude was genuine as she'd never expected him to pull a chair over for her in the first place. What a nice guy! Not letting the furniture piece go to waste, she took a seat.
"Well, actually," Hikaru trailed off and began searching her pockets. Turning one inside out to demonstrate that she certainly wasn't here to buy anything on this trip. That fact didn't seem to alter her mood in the slightest. "What about you, did you find everything alright?".

Massie would have done almost anything to get out of that dingy Castle and apparently this was it. She headed toward the shops but as soon as she could lose her peers, and any lingering staff members she was planning on 86ing this trip. Hogsmeade was such a tourist trap, it was ridiculous. Whipping out her limited edition Versace phone she searched for a suitable signal.
Sure she'd made some friends at this school... but she had to admit nothing came close to the PC.
As luck would have it she watched as three bars stretched across the lit screen. Immediately she began texting, her fingers flying over the familiar keys like nothing had ever changed. What sort of gossip had she missed, the inside jokes? Did her friends even miss her at all?
[Leesh, Kristen, Dyl, Kuh-laire.. listen up. I have very important PC news to address..]
She ducked between two shops and waited for a response.
The alleyways made excellent short-cuts when one was trying to meet his best friend on time at a store! So much, so, that Bart hadn't quite realized that he was running in-between stores at the speed of light. Quite literally brushing past Massie, Bart screeched to a halt before zooming back in her direction.
She had a cell phone! And it was working! Miracle of miracles! Bart couldn't help feeling curious. How'd she manage that without charming her technology? (But she didn't have a microwave. He could continue to feel smug about that one.)
"... Don't you wanna go shopping?" He coughed to announce his presence, even if it wasn't totally necessary. "I thought you'd be all over the sales."

Jason had been in and out of a few shops already without any luck on his search, unfamiliar with Hogsmeade and not willing to ask somebody to point him in the right direction. He could find his own damn way around. When he finally managed to locate a larger-than-expected selection of hair dye on a shelf in the back of the store next to some shampoo and lotion, Jason looked cluelessly between a box of Black Magic and Vampire Black.
Stephanie, on the other hand, was on a hunt for shampoo. She had no clue what sort of products they might have in Hogsmeade, but she figured it was worth a look. She was completely absorbed in the decision between fruity scented shampoo and flowery scented shampoo when she realized that there was someone next to her. Not right next to her, but close enough to be noticed. She glanced casually over at the stranger.
It was a guy. Shopping for hair dye. Black hair dye, to be specific, although he didn't look like a goth, or an old man, or anyone who had any right shopping for hair dye. In fact, he looked like the sort of guy who would be embarrassed to be seen shopping for hair products. She couldn't help but stare at him for longer than was really necessary.
A simple charm was enough to keep his roots covered temporarily, but it wasn't always reliable. This was Jason's first time dealing with magical hair dye, however, and the idea baffled him, because the muggle kind seemed to do the trick just fine. Turning the box over to read the back, Jason wasn't quite sure what the catch was. It better not fucking sparkle or something.
Feeling the stare, which was definitely longer than necessary, Jason tensed up before glancing over at the blonde. "What?" he asked, challengingly. "Don't give me that look."
She blinked at him and then quickly turned her eyes back to the shampoo bottles in her hands. "Look? What look? I wasn't giving you a look. I'm shopping for girly hair products just like you!" Her face turned a little red, but she refused to look at him again. He was actually kinda cute, for an older slightly scary-looking guy. Not as cute as Tim, she noted.

While most of the other students were busy with the post-holiday sales or enjoying getting to spend some quality time with their friends outside of classes, Sieglinde was making her way- quite alone- out toward the edge of town. Hooded scarf pulled up and wrapped around to cover her nose, she made her way up onto the porch, pulling a small square of fabric out of her bag and settling on it, knees up and boots tapping against the ground idly as she pulled her netbook out of her bag as well
( ... )
Ed had been to Hogsmeade plenty of times, for plenty of reasons, but never with the other students on a weekend officially dedicated for such a trip. For a reason known only to herself, one that would probably make not much sense to anyone other than Edward, she always found herself deep in the castle on weekends, doing things that were probably against the rules. This weekend, however, was different. This weekend Ed had decided, with more of her friends gone - not to mention her art supplies too, what with how many drawings she sent to them -, to venture into the village and explore what it was like when the others were about
( ... )
"Motherf--!" Sieglinde barely halted the word, chastising herself for letting it slip out in English, of all things, and glowered up at Ed, a sour expression on her face. "It's work, Tivrusky. Important work- and you're kind of interrupting it."
Were it not for the fact that A: she was a prefect and B: she probably shouldn't have been so close to the shack anyway, she probably would have hexed Ed all the way back into town already. As it was, she kept glowering at the other girl, hoping she'd get the hint and leave. Honestly, why was it that she wasn't at all bothered in school, but the instant she tried to find some privacy, someone popped out of the woodwork?
"Oh," Ed stated, her tone and expression similar to that as if Sielinde had just informed her that the temperature was rather chilly out and it had snowed recently. She tilted her head curiously, ignoring the glare from the older girl and poked the notebook gently. She had seen similar things being described by other students, but couldn't for the life of her remember what it was called exactly. Ed knew people were always using the word "computers" and "laptops" when they described them but... wait! Didn't Siegline use another word?

Infuriating, honestly.
