WHO: Ichigo Kurosaki, OPEN for anyone, friendly or obnoxious! LOCATION: Great Hall WEEK: 69 TIME: After Class WHAT: It's a dreary, rainy day. Perfect for reading indoors, right? RATING: G to start? Depends on who shows up :V
Sure the dorm was pretty loud because, well, there were 7 of them. Sure some of them were on the quiet side but, there were enough to make up for that and the quiet ones usually leave at the presence of the louder ones.
Their dorm was never a place of study as a result. Which worked well for Ren because, simply saying, he didn't study. He just stumbled across his roommate as he was coming back inside from a quick smoke outside. Attempted to stay dry but, didn't work out as well as he hoped.
Technology wasn't allowed in the school but, they did have alternatives for playing music, thankfully, so Ren decided to completely ignore the personal space bubble that Ichigo had created around himself and let himself be curious to remove the headpiece and put it by his own ear to hear the music his room mate was listening to.
If someone else didn't study, it didn't bother Ichigo in the slightest. Not his problem, except in a few cases where he never needed to remind them to get to work anyway. Smoking, on the other hand... now that irritated the hell out of him, for reasons he wasn't willing to go into with practically anyone. So, the smell of smoke mixed in with the fresh scent of the rain made his nose wrinkle as his roommate came to join him.
And as if that wasn't irritating enough, Ren had the audacity to just remove one of his earbuds without the slightest invitation or even implication he was welcome to. And to think, some people wondered why Ichigo was so antisocial. He reached back and yanked it from the other boy's ear and fitted it right back into his own, and lucky for everyone involved, resisted the urge to go for his wand.
"It helps me concentrate," he said, with an acerbic tone, "What do you want?"
Ren was fully aware that the smoking bothered people. It took his girlfriend a while to get used to it and even then, when she joined him outside for a smoke she usually avoided being downwind from him because of the stench. To make sure there was no ill will with his roommates right off the bat, Ren didn’t smoke in the dorm…..often. Once in a while he forgot and would light one up while in bed but, he still tried to keep it away from the guys he was stuck living with since they were 11.
“Nothing. Just curious about what you were listening to,” Ren answered honestly, taking a seat on the long bench beside him. Ichigo was similar to Squall when it came to being antisocial and really, all it took was simple conversation to get him to open up. “Which composer was that?”
Ichigo had an understanding with the others: keep it casual and respectful, and social is alright. Get obnoxious, though, and he was going to get glaring, as Natsu and whoever his weekly combatant foe turned out to be. At least Ren was more laid back and unlikely to cause any outright raging, even if he had issues with boundaries that kept him firmly on Ichigo's 'eh, whatever' side.
"Bach." He hadn't asked for company today, but whatever, it was a free table. If Ren expected Ichigo to be bubbly and talkative in being interrupted so rudely, though, he had another thing coming. "Why? Do you even like this kind of music?"
Normally Lucy preferred to read in her room, or in the library, but with Sei calling the room for the evening and Natsu and Gray having decided to 'study' in the library, which made her weep for all the poor books about to be lost forever, and so she had relocated to the great hall, hoping for some quiet.
Opening the door, she caught a glimpse of brightly colored hair and felt a momentary flash of fear that somehow her friends had managed to beat her to this place, but glancing over she saw it was just a tall boy she'd never met before. "Oh, hi there."
Ichigo thought he'd heard something, and he glanced up to see that- yes, he most certainly had. It was a girl, one he was sure he'd seen around in the halls throughout the years but never got around to ever talking to. Not a Gryffindor, and she was talking to him so probably not a Slytherin... so, there was a chance they'd get along, might as well run with it.
"Hey." He reached up and tugged one of his earbuds free, "Did you need something?"
"Just a quiet place to read," she assured him. She knew she had seen the boy in the hallways, with hair like his it was hard not to notice him, but his rather grumpy, or at least serious, demeanor had never really encouraged her to approach him. Still, he hadn't bitten her head off or anything, so perhaps she had just misjudged him.
Being that she wasn't loud and obnoxious, Ichigo automatically found this girl delightfully normal. What she wanted was also doing wonders for him not wanting to throw his hands up and declare he would be leaving for a hermit's life. "Knock yourself out," he gestured for her to sit on down wherever, "Just yell at me if the music's distracting you or something."
