Abandoning his position on the viaduct pathway, the Earl casually strolled back towards the school. He had come out here for a bit of peace and quiet, and a change of scenery. The journals were flooding with the regrets of fellow students and staff alike. Fortunately, the only inconvenience he had suffered was having to adjust to a different body, something Sebastian took to with more efficiency and ease. That was irritating but not wholly unexpected. Yes, it was good to be back in his own body. Lizzie on the other hand, had completely changed personalities in the last few days. A faint smile traced across his lips as he recalled her telling him that "Servants should be seen and not heard" and insisting that he remain silent. She had of course believed herself to have been addressing Sebastian... but in reality it had been himself.
Never before had he seen her retort to anyone with such ferocity. Not even when he deviated from her choices in attire, or spoke ill of her friends. It was no wonder that she was concerned over her actions. Ciel on the other hand, had no regrets. What had happened, had happened. There was nothing any of them could do to change it, and in the overall scale of things... there really were few consequences.
He did not intend on making the fact that Sebastian and himself had indeed exchanged bodies public knowledge but he had already said as much to Elizabeth. Upon entering the hallways he made a mental note to request that Elizabeth didn't let that detail go any farther than themselves. Actually, confiding in the young lady might also instill that impression that he still trusted her. Passing the ornate tapestries Ciel found a suitable place to wait for her in plain sight of the adjacent hallway.
