The panther walked in a wide circle around Aerith, then appeared to lose interest, instead padding to an empty, sun-covered spot in the garden and flumping down to sleep. Fang gave him a look that was half-fond and half-exasperated, rolled her eyes. "Lazy bastard."

"I might!" she held her staff out, recognizing the voice vaguely.
Who...
Her green eyes widened when she finally saw Fang. Bouncing a little, she beamed, dropping her staff onto the ground beside her.
"Why were you hiding, hm?" she glanced at the panther, giggling, "He has been working hard?"
Or maybe he was just lazy. The thought amused her quite a bit.

The panther rumbled low in his throat and said to Fang, "It's more than you do." Impervious to her glare (and the rude gesture she may have made with her hands), he continued. "Why don't you tell the pretty girl I said hello?"
Fang put her hands on her hips, and rolled her eyes. "He says hello." She stared around the garden, rubbed the back of her neck. "Nice place you've got here. I actually dropped by for a reason -- do you have time to help me with something?"

"Now you have a distraction!" he crooned. Aerith couldn't help but beam. Reaching down, she tried to pet over his ears.
"Does he?" she brightened even more, giving the panther a warm look, "Hi back!" she then glanced at Fang, blushing, "I've had help. The students are really good when they concentrate."
Crossing her arms behind her back, she hummed.
"Of course. What do you need help with?" she leaned forward, her ponytail sliding over one shoulder.

He'd noticed Aerith and Lighting having their conversation, but had decided not to interrupt, knowing well the importance of girl talk, and Lightning's temper. Instead he continued reading until they separated, then dropped down to throw Aerith a friendly wave.
"Yo."
