The wolf's claws clicked against the cobblestone roads in time to Lilith's footsteps. He walked behind her, as was proper for wolves: this was his way of recognizing the alpha. His subservience did not stop him from speaking, however. The voice was low and scratchy, deep. It had presence, she thought, that voice. At times it was quite loud to Lilith, most often when she was trying to concentrate on something else, but at the moment it merely felt like a faint scratching on the inside of her skull -- an unpleasant, but somehow familiar sensation ( ... )

In the brief moment that Ambrosia glanced up to watch her daemon, Lilith glanced down to hers to regard him coldly. He barked at her, and if a wolf could look self-satisfied, he certainly did. Lilith made a faint noise of disgust and turned away. She could still feel her skin tingling, still feel the ghostly touch of fingers against her limbs. He would pay, and pay dearly, for his deception, regardless of whether or not he was a part of her.

"I have always been found of Spain," she said, "and so I thought it would be a good place to begin. Thank you." She thought to elaborate further, but Ambrosia mentioned her daemon wanting to meet her properly. She had a brief moment of indecision, rare, for her. If she touched the creature, there was a large chance that Ambrosia would feel the same disconcerting sensations she'd felt.

Still, it might be curious. And perhaps, mildly amusing. "Ah, I see." She held out her hand then, for the bat. "Very well. May I?"

At his side near her feet, Sköll snorted, and sat up to watch this exchange

"It is a beautiful country," Ambrosia gave. She had been there many times before with her family, though regrettably had not seen as much of it as she would have liked. Her father's social gatherings, of course, took precedence over her sightseeing. And there were many of them, all of which she was made to attend. "I should like to see it on my own, someday ( ... )

"Indeed," Lilith agreed. She had family in Spain -- her mother's side, each one equally as uninteresting as the next. Her time there had been spent in much the same way as Ambrosia's, social gatherings and stifling, overlong reunions, the constant polite questions about her future from people she barely knew and did not care to know. "Perhaps you shall. Ah, it would be nice, if you could join me. It is unfortunate that you will still be attending school then ( ... )

WHAT IS THIS FEELING~? serpentsilver August 23 2010, 21:57:23 UTC
Ambrosia made to reply, to tell Lilith that she would very much enjoy seeing Spain with her, that it was indeed a pity she would not yet have graduated, but the words died in her throat, cut off by the sudden and unwelcome feeling of hands ghosting along her shoulders, her neck, of fingers trailing down her sides. Her eyes went wide for the briefest of moments, flashed blue-gray like steel before they narrowed into a cold, angry glare. She went rigid, hands fisted in her robes at her sides. Her skin flushed, her jaw clenched, her pulse pounded, slow and insistent, at her temples.

He knew. That blasted creature knew. Very well, then. He would simply have to pay for inviting such... violation upon her ( ... )

Lilith feigned surprise well. It came in handy during times like these, where she had to make her eyes go wide and startled in response to Ambrosia's sudden departure. She heard the anger in the girl's voice, the way she near choked on her own rage, and watched as she departed. The bat flitted out of her hands slowly, following, and when they were both out of sight, Lilith leaned slightly against the park bench, her posture relaxing ( ... )
