Yellow took his time getting to the pitch. He was used to napping before dinner and kept yawning on his way down the stairs. Concerned, Ratty nuzzled his leg, and the boy grinned at the pokemon in a way he hoped was reassuring. The Raticate hadn't wanted to be left behind, and Yellow didn't see how bringing it along could hurt.

As he exited the castle and neared the pitch, Yellow's thoughts stopped wandering and started resembling something coherent. Was he expected to bring his own broom? The only flying he'd ever done had been with the help of a pokémon, and he didn't have enough money for one of his own. Ah, well...he'd deal with it when the time came. This would be fun!

Finally reaching his destination, Yellow spotted a vaguely familiar face and waved happily. "Komachi, hello!" he called, hurrying over, the pokemon scurrying at his heels.

A slight frown came onto Clarice's face as she made her way down to the pitch, her broom held tightly in her hands. A little too tightly. She had already almost lost her balance on way up only to have a few people chuckle behind her back. Sigh. That never changed.

Stepping into the field she surveyed the area looking for her other fellow quidditch teammates and Yellow until she finally caught sight of the them. She stepped closer and the grip in her broom relaxed much more, the small frown on Clarice's face still remained however.

"Um...Hello?"

Yui took a little time making it to the pitch, after all she had to make the decision to leave Giita behind in the dorm and then make sure he didn't get into any trouble--or worse, run off with someone else. Once that had been finished she grabbed her broom and proceeded to jog the whole way to the pitch, bouncing and humming a tune under her breath, clearly excited by this.

Stepping onto the field, Yui rose her free hand, waving toward the small group. Bounding over, somehow managing to trip and then somehow managing to catch herself from face planting into the ground...

"Uwaa, hello everyone!" She called out, hurrying over.

"Yellow!" Komachi called out, waving back at him as the older boy approached. Kiku hopped down from her shoulder, slowly approaching the other Pokemon with a cautious sniff. The second year noticed that Yellow was broomless. "I think you can grab one from that shed over there," she pointed out. "It's for PE class."

With a wide grin, Komachi lifted her hand again, waving at the two other girls. "Clarice, you made it!" Her mouth dropped open when Yui almost fell, eyes wide as she asked, "Are you okay?"

It was so great that she got to be on a team with those two, and maybe today they could convince Yellow to join, too! She held on to her broom, looking up at the sky. Today was going to be a really good day.

"Right!" called Yellow, more than a little relieved. He turned around, scanning the area for the shed she'd mentioned, and then took off running. Left behind, Ratty stood a bit forlornly, but then noticed Kiku and chittered something friendly sounding in the other pokémon's direction.

It didn't take Yellow long to retrieve a broom. He hadn't been able to tell the differences between the ones in the shed and had chosen at random. The others all seemed to have their own, but he thought he'd be okay. "Hi, Clarice," he panted, slightly out of breath from the jog. "And...it's Yui, right?" He had Clarice in most of his classes, but the other girl he hadn't seen much outside the common areas.
