WHO: Drusilla; Open. LOCATION: Shady area of the great hall. WEEK: 57 TIME: After classes. WHAT: Getting to know her new puppies. RATING: ...uh, ...TBA.
Jack had quietly entered the great hall after his first classes of the day, a cheerful smile of his face as he was politely greeting students that said hi to him, as he soon spotted in one part of the great hall a woman sitting by herself, someone that he hadn't yet met as he calmly walked up to her and leaned over slightly, "Ah good afternoon there, miss, I haven't met you around here until now."
He stared at her for a moment before doing as she asked and had taken the deck of cards from her, as he started to shuffle. "My names Jack Vessalius, I'm a new Professor here it's a pleasure to meet you," he said as he finished shuffling holding out the cards that he had just been shuffling, "There you go."
"Hello, Jack. Now shh, no more spoilers." Drusilla said in a hushed voice, lightly caressing his cheek before taking the offered cards. She set them on the table and began to draw all while humming a tune she didn't know but perhaps was familiar to the other professor.
Mimi was sick of her housemates, so, she decided, she'd spend some time in the Great Hall. Her nails needed re-painting, and she supposed she could get some work done as well, if she had to.
As she entered, she glanced around the Great Hall and saw, with a sigh of frustration, that her favorite spot was taken - and by a professor, so she couldn't exactly shove her off and take over. She rolled her eyes and stalked past, pausing only to greet her with a falsely sweet, "Good afternoon, Professor."
Something familiar tingled in the back of her head, and her eyes narrowed slightly as she glanced over the professor again.
Drusilla didn't answer the girl's greeting, she barely seemed to register that she was there, even when she started to glare. Of course this didn't mean she couldn't feel her. Licking the tip of her finger, she plucked another card from the deck still seeming not notice the student.
"Impolite to stare, deary." She softly chided, still not taking her eyes off the cards. The gentle smile twisting in something more knowing at the one she's just dealt.
"My apologies, Professor," she apologized, still trying to figure out what was making her brain tingle like that. She dropped her gaze and took a seat at the Slytherin table before quietly opening her mind, seeing if she could figure out what was rubbing her the wrong way about the new teacher.
"Hm..." Drusilla closed her eyes and cocked her head to the side as if something was whispering to her over her shoulder. "Curious little pup. She tingles all over for me yet doesn't understand..." She felt the energy from the girl trying to invade but the woman doesn't seem to mind it. Even if she found something in the professor's mind it was likely to be as insane and jumbled as the rest of her.
"Curious pup indeed." Her eyes finally opened, staring directly at the girl.
S'up fellow Divination bb? :PdivinemnlghtMay 13 2010, 21:49:37 UTC
Cecil had heard that the other Divination professor was actually gifted, but he never imagined what exactly that would entail. He stood a fair distance away, watching her speak to her tarot deck, a bit of an amused smile on his face. He wanted to talk to her eventually, but he wasn't entirely sure if now would be an acceptable time to do so...
:C Losing all the young fresh blood to the newbie. Booooo!thedevilssightMay 13 2010, 23:03:03 UTC
And again the woman's head tilted to the side and dark eyes falling closed as she listens to the whispers of something unseen. "Curiouser and curiouser. The thief has come to make amends for stealing the princess' dollies..." She whimpered softly, bringing her fingertips to her temple and lightly swaying her head as if she was listening to a song.
Hey, he likes kids. D:divinemnlghtMay 13 2010, 23:05:59 UTC
Cecil let out a soft sound at that; even though she was speaking strangely, he could guess she was referring to him. Ah, well... guess this was an appropriate time now. He stepped forward, offering her a small smile.
Dru loves kids to! Dru loves EVERYBODY :D ... for dinner.thedevilssightMay 13 2010, 23:15:17 UTC
There was little point in trying to sneak up on Drusilla and even with his polite greeting she frowned. "He comes to steal all the fresh cakes from the tea party..."
Her return had, fortunately, been without upset thus far. This meant that Lilith could hide in the dark corners and corridors, twined in the shadows like a coiled snake. Her observations started now: she'd missed too much. Dionysus, and his petty scheming. Madeline and the blood candy she seemed so fond of as of late...this would have to be looked into, later. And Knightwalker's sudden interest in family ties was unusual as well. So many new developments, so many new games.
As of now, however, her attention was on the unusual new Divination professor. She'd heard rumours, of course -- the woman was difficult not to notice. From what Lilith was seeing now, she was positively mad, mumbling to herself...but had the Trojans not said the same of Cassandra?
She sat down nearby (perfect posture, back straight), and introduced herself, the epitome of politeness. "Good afternoon."
The gentle humming came to a stop and Drusilla's dark eyes fell shut and she looks as if she's just felt a wonderful sensation. Her head tilting towards the unheard voices and lips parting to let out a shaky breath, if she had any breath to give. "Mm, hissing in the darkness, watching and waiting. Coil and slither. Hiss..." She murmurs before her eyes flutter back open. "No pup here. The princess has lured in a viper." The woman smiled.
Lilith watched this performance -- it could be nothing but -- with an offhand sort of interest. She focused beyond the inherent confusion in the woman's words, cleared her throat. "Slytherin is a nest of vipers," she responded neutrally, and then added, smoothly, "Your Highness. A pleasure to make your acquaintance." She inclined her head: the proper way one would address royalty.
